If you’re a level II dental assistant or a dental hygienist who hasn’t worked in an orthodontic practice, our two-day Practical Orthodontic Skills course is for you! Learn the fundamental theory and practical techniques you need to perform orthodontic procedures* in dental practices across Ontario.
Led by an esteemed registered dental specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, this course will briefly review the history of orthodontics, give an overview of orthodontic records, cover diagnosis, treatment planning, and the use of standard, popular orthodontic appliances and instruments. Seating is limited to 30 participants.
*Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to confidently perform four intra-oral procedures referenced in the RCDSO’s Standard of Practice for Level II Dental Assistants.
