Board Exam (OSCE)

All dentists who want to practice in Canada must follow Canadian standards and criteria, which are often different from other countries worldwide. To prove they can uphold these standards, all non-accredited international dentists must have their work and knowledge assessed in a four-part dental equivalency process overseen by The National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB).

The NDECC™ (formally known as the ACS) Exam is the third official step in your journey to becoming a dentist in Canada. The NDECC™ assesses dentists’ clinical skills and situational judgment by requiring them to complete several specific projects and solve problems in work‑related situations in a dental clinic simulation. During the two-day examination, the clinical component will be conducted on simulated patients (manikins) in a clinical setting under specific infection control rules that apply throughout the exam. While the situational judgement component problem-solving analyses in dealing with patients.

Our Instructors

What Our Graduates Say

Learning just the right techniques to pass the ACS exam is crucial. We sat down with Dr. Gaurang Gokhale to learn about his experience and his long-awaited triumph in his equivalency journey after graduating from our ACS Course and passing the exam on his second attempt.
Dr. Gaurang Gokhale

"I have attended another training center in Calgary before, and Prep Doctors is by far the better choice. Even though I needed to fly to Toronto, find a place to stay and rent a car for 3 months, it was totally worth it. The instructors are all very helpful in giving tips and support, they're also quite standardized in grading and giving critical comments. Could have never done it on my first try without them!"
Dr. Tiffany Chen

“Glad I decided to take my skills training with Prep Doctors. The instructors are wonderful, not only did they help me with the skills but also were a constant source of motivation. Very thankful to the entire team!”
Dr. Puneet - Calgary, Alberta
