In response to the evolving structure of the Canadian dental equivalency process, our situational judgement course has undergone significant enhancements over the past year. With the incorporation of a new component into the third exam, we aim better prepare you for the challenges you may encounter.

Developed and curated by our Chief Learning Officer (CLO), Dr. Marwan Al Rayes, a former University of Toronto instructor, our program provides a comprehensive training experience designed to equip you with the skills necessary to navigate diverse scenarios on exam day. Also, we have introduced a new textbook to complement our course materials and enhance your learning journey.

We have seamlessly integrated the expertise of other experienced instructors and subject matter experts to ensure the continued excellence of our training program.

This updated course includes an extensive focus on case-based learning, offering practical insights and hands-on experience in small groups. Our goal is to maximize your exposure to various clinical situations, empowering you to confidently tackle the challenges posed by the NDEB exams.

We look forward to guiding you through this refined and enriched training program, preparing you not only for the examinations but also for a successful and fulfilling career in the Canadian dental field.

Board Exam (OSCE)

All dentists who want to practice in Canada must follow Canadian standards and criteria, which are often different from other countries worldwide. To prove they can uphold these standards, all non-accredited international dentists must have their work and knowledge assessed in a four-part dental equivalency process overseen by The National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB).

The National Dental Examination of Clinical Competence (NDECC®) (formally known as the ACS) Exam is the third official step in your journey to becoming a dentist in Canada. The NDECC™ assesses dentists’ clinical skills and situational judgment by requiring them to complete several specific projects and solve problems in work‑related situations in a dental clinic simulation. During the two-day examination, the clinical component will be conducted on simulated patients (manikins) in a clinical setting under specific infection control rules that apply throughout the exam. While the situational judgement component problem-solving analyses in dealing with patients.

  • 70+ problem-based cases provided
